My name is Khabonina Yende, in 2014 God blessed me with my baby girl. Her name was Hlelolwakhe, she was born at 26 weeks old, she was in NICU for 3 months. At first, I thought I was the only one in this situation, one of the sisters showed me a family room. I was welcomed by all of the staff. I even found other mothers there that were in the same situation, so the support I got in the family room was so big....

On 13 September 2014 I gave birth to a baby boy at Chris Hani Hospital. I was in pain before I gave birth but, when I saw my son, I was thrilled, not knowing that he wasn’t well. The nurse took him to the NICU ward, after an hour the doctor informed us of his condition. I was shocked and confused since this was my first baby. The nurses took me to another room where I managed to relax and rest....

I am Lufuno Radzilani from Thohoyandou, Limpopo. I came to Johannesburg when I was 38 weeks pregnant because in Limpopo there are no gynaecologists. My pregnancy was big, on the 28th of September 2021, on a Tuesday at Rahima Moosa Mother & Child Hospital, I gave birth in a c section to a bouncing baby boy, I fed him and held him in my arms....
