What is the Lactation Centre and why is it important?
The Lactation Centre at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital provides mothers of NICU babies with a safe, supportive environment to express breast milk, ensuring premature and critically ill babies receive optimal nutrition.
When did RMHC SA start operating?
We opened our first programme in 2012, and since then, we’ve expanded to include the Ronald McDonald House, Family Rooms, Care Mobiles, and specialised initiatives like Lactation Centres.
How many families do you help each year?
On average, RMHC SA supports 3,259 families annually through our House, Family Rooms, and Lactation Centre.
